Murió TOM STEVENS, bajista de THE LONG RYDERS

 

Parece que no pasa una semana sin que tengamos algún deceso que lamentar... Nos acabamos de enterar del fallecimiento de Tom Steven, a los 64 años de edad. Ha sido la propia banda la que compartió el comunicado a través de las redes sociales. El bueno de Tom, además de bajista de The Long Ryders, grabó cuatro discos en solitario y también formó parte de Danny & Dusty , Chris Cacavas & Junkyard Love, y la banda de Jack Waterson.

Personalmente me quedo con su trabajo en The Long Ryders, y muy en especial con su última obra: 'Psychedelic Country Soul' (2019), que sigo escuchando regularmente. Un discazo. Sus compañeros de banda han querido despedirse de él con estas palabras:

''To all our friends, fans and family… it is with heavy hearts that we share the sad news our brother Tom Stevens has left us quite suddenly. We ask you all to keep Tom, his loving wife Elaine, Sarah, Zach and James in your thoughts. Tom loved you all so much. Play his beautiful song “Let it Fly” and be grateful for the time we all had together. We are.
